Trump Returns: His historic firsts after defeating Kamala Harris

Donald Trump has defeated Kamala Harris to reclaim the White House, securing 276 electoral votes after a projected win in Wisconsin, according to CNN. As counting continues in key states, take a look at some of Trump’s historic firsts:

Trump transitioned from a businessman, real estate mogul, and reality TV star to becoming the first former US president to be declared a convicted felon.

1. Convicted Felon

At 78, he has become the oldest person in US history to be elected president.

2. Oldest Elected President

Trump is also projected to become the first Republican to win the popular vote in 20 years, according to The New York Times.

3. Popular Vote

Trump will be the second president to serve non-consecutive terms, following Grover Cleveland, who did so 132 years ago, serving from 1885 to 1889 and again from 1893 to 1897.

4. President to Serve Non-Consecutive Terms

Trump will be the only US president to face impeachment twice during his first term, although he was acquitted by the Senate both times.
