Published November 6, 2024
Former US President Donald Trump is on course to win the 2024 election, as he currently leads against Vice President and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris.
As CNN projects that Trump will secure the pivotal battleground state of Pennsylvania in the 2024 presidential race, take a look at Trump’s top promises if he comes to power:
Trump has promised to end the Russia-Ukraine War before Inauguration Day.
Trump has vowed to initiate the “largest deportation program in American history,” aiming to deport millions of immigrants, both documented and undocumented, to open up jobs for Black and Hispanic Americans.
Trump has pledged to reinstate strict anti-immigration policies, impacting employers, students, and skilled professionals. Proposed measures may limit Optional Practical Training for international students and push those awaiting employment-based green cards to leave the US.
Trump’s campaign pledged to “end all Harris-Biden attacks on law-abiding gun owners” in his first week, defending Americans’ constitutional right to bear arms.
Trump has pledged to eliminate “critical race theory” in schools and to cut federal funding for institutions that teach it. He also plans to defund schools promoting what he calls “transgender insanity,” though he hasn’t specified at what age sexuality and gender education should begin.
