Kalakand, also known as Indian milk cake, is a beloved festive treat that is both soft and creamy. Made from paneer and condensed milk, this dessert is quick to prepare and perfect for celebrating Diwali. Here’s how you can make delicious kalakand in just five easy steps:

Ingredients

To make kalakand, you will need 200 grams of paneer, sugar, milk, pistachios, cashews and cardamom.

Prepare Paneer

Crumble or grate the paneer into small pieces.

Cook

In a thick-bottomed pan, combine the crumbled paneer, condensed milk and sugar. Cook on low heat, stirring gently.  

Add Flavour

Mix in cardamom and chopped nuts as the mixture thickens.

Set

Once the mixture separates from the pan, remove it from the heat. Spread it in a greased tray and top with more nuts. Let it cool and set, then slice into squares for serving.
