AVIAN BEAUTIES 

Blue birds inhabit diverse regions worldwide, from rainforests to gardens, each with unique blue plumage which is created differently.

Here are some blue birds in the animal kingdom: 

The Blue Grosbeak is a large bunting with deep blue or brown plumage, blackish wings and tail, distinctive beak, and rufous wing bars.

Male Indigo Buntings are bright blue with dark wings during breeding and browner otherwise. They live in forests, fields, grasslands, and croplands depending on the season.

Steller’s Jay is a large black and blue bird with a prominent crest. The front portion of their body is black, fading into dark blue on the rest of the body.

The Cerulean Warbler is a migratory bird. Females are greenish-blue with white stripes and yellow-tinted underparts.

The Florida Scrub Jay is Florida’s only endemic bird, found nowhere else due to its requirement for low oak scrub habitat.

Lazuli Buntings have blackish-grey feathers on the back and wings, a blue rump, a dark tail with a bluish tint, and white wing bars.
