Select a shallow container or tray with drainage holes to plant your fenugreek seeds.
Use well-draining, fertile soil mixed with compost for optimal growth. Fenugreek plants prefer slightly acidic to neutral soil.
After soaking the fenugreek seeds overnight (to increase the germination rate), equally distribute them on the soil's surface and gently push them in. Cover them with a thin layer of soil or compost.
Place the container in a spot with plenty of sunlight. Fenugreek plants thrive in four to six hours of direct sunlight each day.
In three to four weeks, methi seeds are ready to be harvested. Trim the top leaves, leaving some twigs for future growth.
