Who is Nilda Roman Perez?
Nilda Roman Perez was a Cuban-American activist who fought for the Cuban Revolution. She was born in Cuba in 1932 and came to the United States in 1961. She was a member of the Communist Party USA and the National Committee to Free the Cuban Five.
Perez was a strong advocate for the Cuban Revolution and its leader, Fidel Castro. She believed that the Revolution would bring freedom and democracy to Cuba. She also believed that the United States was trying to overthrow the Cuban government and that the Cuban people needed to defend their Revolution.
Nilda Lavoe, more commonly known as Puchi Lavoe, died in 2002 after she fell out of a window in her apartment. She was 52 years old when she died. Lavoe was married to famous salsa singer Hector Levoe, and her full maiden name was Nilda Puchi Roman Perez.
